Vizzini planting fabric from a Gulider army uniform on Buttercup's horse

Vizzini plants a piece of fabric from a Guilder army uniform on Buttercup's horse.

The nation of Guilder is the sworn enemy to Florin. Prince Humperdinck plans to have Buttercup murdered and Guilder framed so he will have an excuse to declare war.

Guilder's name likely comes from the Dutch guilder, the currency of the Netherlands from the 16th century until 2002.

Its enemy nation, Florin, is also likely named after a coin: the florin, minted in the Republic of Florence in the late Middle Ages and early Renaissance.
