Fezzik is a giant who worked for Vizzini and was later, along with Inigo Montoya involved in a plot to capture Buttercup to start a war. Fezzik and Inigo were both hesitant to assist in the evil plan. Westley, the Dread Pirate Roberts at the time, bested Fezzik, Inigo and Vizzini to retrieve Buttercup.
After Westley was captured and rendered mostly dead by Rugen, Fezzik and Inigo retrieved his body and brought it to Miracle Max, who soon revived Westley. The three then made their way to rescue Buttercup from Humperdinck. During the rescue, Fezzik retrieved four horses as Inigo faced Count Tyrone Rugen. Inigo killed Rugen in a duel, avenging his father, Domingo Montoya's death. After rescuing Buttercup, Westley told Inigo that he'd make a wonderful Dread Pirate Roberts before the Westley, Buttercup, Inigo and Fezzik rode away on the horses.
