Domingo Montoya was the father of the Spanish swordsman, Inigo, who dedicated his life to revenge after Domingo was killed by Count Tyrone Rugen. During the rescue of Buttercup, Inigo faced Rugen and killed him in a duel, avenging Domingo's death. After the victory and rescuing Buttercup, Westley told Inigo that he'd make a wonderful Dread Pirate Roberts before the Westley, Buttercup, Inigo and Fezzik rode away on horses.
